Top things to see & do in Hughenden

Visit the Flinders Discovery Centre to relive the days of sheep production and its demise at the ‘Shearing Straggler’ exhibit. �Whilst you’re in the centre, ensure you visit ‘Hughie’ the Muttaburrasaurus. Get up close with the life size skeletal replica of a 7 metre Muttaburrasaurus. The bones are casts of a 110 million year old dinosaur. Outside of Hughenden, is Mount Walker which rises out of the flat back soil plains. You can see all the way across the town and around the district. For the more adventurous visitors they can head to Porcupine Gorge National Park. Often referred to as Australia’s ‘Little Grand Canyon’.
