If stepping back in time is more your scene, then take a stroll down Richmond's Heritage Walk. The Heritage Trail Walk begins at the Caravan Park and continues the full length of Goldring Street. Visit the sites of Cordial Factory, Newspaper Printers and Open Air Theatre. The latest addition to the trail is Cambridge Downs Heritage Display Centre. Built from local flagstone rock the centre is a replica of the original Cambridge Downs Homestead built in the late 1860’s. The original Cambridge Downs homestead was built in the 1860's and the ruins stand on the banks of the Stawell River at Cambridge Crossing, approximately 40km from Richmond. The Cambridge Crossing is a popular picnic spot for locals.
